meaningful art that you'll cherish forever.
“Our experience with Jade was wonderful! The session was fun and lighthearted. She was great with our kids, patient and flexible. We loved the spontaneous, unposed shots; they really captured the unique personalities in our family.”
“We LOVED working with Jade! We never felt uncomfortable or awkward like we thought we would, (neither of us typically love having our pictures taken) but instead, we had so much fun! She made us feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera and chose her shots so well. Our biggest request for our session was that the photos would feel like “us” and not staged, and Jade captured our vision. We are so glad to have pictures that reflect our relationship so well!”
“When I needed new headshots, I knew I wanted something that better represented my personality than your typical corporate headshot. Jade took me to downtown Mechanicsburg, and we had so much fun! Every photo looks so natural. On top of it all, she let my brother tag along so we could get some updated photos of us together. I'll treasure those photos forever. I HIGHLY recommend Jade; she makes you feel relaxed and you just have fun!”
“Jade just knows how to make you genuinely laugh! She is very comfortable and easy to work with. She does such a beautiful job in helping you feel natural and yourself in front of the camera. We also loved how personal and flexible she was leading up to and during our session. Highly recommend! ”
“My session with Jade was a great experience that resulted in great photos! She knows exactly where to go and how to direct you, and how to make you feel natural in doing so. I had so much fun during my session and the photos were everything I was hoping for.”
riveting origin story, I know, but somewhere between my homemade pinhole camera, the dark room, and our unit on portraiture, a passion was ignited. And for a while, I was THAT kid who took photos of anything and everything, just trying to improve my skills and "discover new perspectives." Fast forward 10 years, and I've now been photographing families, kiddos, couples, seniors, and working professionals for most of the past decade, while balancing multiple jobs and passions.
Then, in 2020, amidst a country-wide lockdown and with some serious extra time on my hands, I made the prayerful decision to step from having a "side hustle" to being a business owner. And just like that, I felt like the new kid on the block all over again--acutely aware of how much more I had to learn than I had under my belt, but thrilled with what I knew I could create; excited at how I knew I could serve and connect with people.
So that brings us to today. To you taking the time to read and look through images, for which I'm grateful! And I would be honored to create with and serve and connect with you through portraits of you and your people.

"It is the small, everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love."

of every artwork order
is donated to nonprofits who rescue thousands of men, women, and children from human trafficking and place them in high quality recovery care.
PS - If you’d like to stay in touch and be the first to know about charitable organizations/events that Jade French Photography is involved with locally, follow along on social media, and head on over to the Contact page and drop me a note to be added to the email list.
I’ve believed from a fairly young age that in whatever career I were to choose, I needed to find ways to effect change in the world
for the better. I know, classic millennial, you caught me! I became inspired by quotes such as Mother Teresa’s famous words,
“(But we can) do small things with great love,” and the perhaps slightly less famous words of Gandalf the Grey,
"It is the small, everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love."
So when I decided to start my business, I did so in part because I wanted a means by which to act against some of the injustice that
I saw in the world, and I wanted it built in from Day 1. In particular, the horrendous and quickly growing criminal enterprise of human trafficking has weighed heavily on my heart for years. It can be hard to fathom making a difference in such an overwhelmingly vast issue from my little apartment in Central PA. I can’t swoop in and rip every victim away from their traffickers, and then magically heal their pain as if it never happened.
But there ARE people fighting this evil, and I CAN have a small part in supporting them.
This is why I give 10% of profits from every artwork order to various nonprofits who work with law enforcement and governments around the world to rescue thousands of trafficked men, women, and children, and place them in high quality recovery care.
So when I say that I’m passionate about creating meaningful art, I do mean that your portraits will be deeply meaningful to you and cherished for generations—I believe that with all my heart! But I also mean that I believe in taking it a step further, so that these artful celebrations of your family, your love, your children, are each a small part of the liberation of someone else’s child, and the possibility of restoration for another family. (A small thing done with great love)
- I have two younger sisters and am a classic eldest child.
- I'm a dancer & dance teacher, which is how I met
most of my close friends.
- I'm a "dog person" who ended up with the sweetest, cuddliest cat in the world, so I guess now I'm just an "animal person."
- I'm left-handed
- My go-to snack is salt & vinegar potato chips
- My favorite movies growing up were (and still are) Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
I get excited for my morning coffee when crawling into bed at night,
I SWEAR brunch was my favorite meal before it was trendy to say so,
and I'm almost definitely behind on folding my laundry.
